We had a great weekwith the children from the Machava community; we planned a 3-day program withgames, arts, dance and music for about 50 kids. When the program started therewas more than 120 kids, it was crazy in the beginning but everything worked outand we had 3 amazing days of ministry. Now, when we walk in the community allthe kids greet us, because they all know us. It was really cool because they don’t have anyspace where they can play or just be children.
A lot of them range from age 10 to 15 are already working for their family, selling vegetables or taking care of their smaller brothers or sisterswhile their parents are working. We areso impressed with the beauty of these people - God is so creative, we can seeit more and more every day.
We also went to a place called Matola Gare - it was really far away from where westay. When we arrived there someone was supposedto receive us and to facilitate our minist
ry, but nobody came. Then we went into the community trusting Godfor something, we walked past a church that had a lot of kids and asked if wecould help them but they said: “no, they didn’t want help”. We continuedwalking and we stopped at a small house and asked them if we could do facepainting and pray for them as a family - while I was speaking to the person,someone came to us and asked us “ARE YOU HEALING PEOPLE?” …
My friend said: “yes,we are praying for people to receive healing from Jesus” … The woman said: “pleasecome to my house and pray for my son, he is very sick and I already took him tothe doctor and they don’t know what is going on”. The first thing that cameinto my mind was the Centurion that cameto Jesus and asked Jesus to heal his servant. We went there and prayed for herson and the whole family.
